Your Personal Grow Op
Finally, after everything has been purchased and you are ready to begin keep in mind of the layout of your set up. Whether
you are growing your marijuana in a closet or growing it in a garage you must be able to have access to the plant so that you can rotate it, inspect it, feed and water it, and prune it as it grows taller and bushier. Many expert growers have set ups where they can have multiple plants growing side by side but they still have adequate access to all of their plants in case something goes wrong.
Make sure that you also have adequate space to be able to reach your plants for all of these reasons. Assume that you will need to pull the plants out of a closet entirely to feed and water them and then create the extra space needed to make this happen. If growing in a basement or a garage than try to have a walkway between plants and/or rooms that are separated in case you have a room for flowering and room for vegetation stages. Remember that the plants are living creatures and will need daily attention and daily care for them to yield an appropriate amount when you are finished.
Keep in mind of the lights too; as your plants grow they will need to be raised so make sure that nothing is blocking this from happening. There are tons of ingenious devices that allow the lights to be simply raised every couple of weeks as your plants grow. Invest in these devices because they really do make the task a little bit easier. Fluorescent lights are the easiest when it comes to having to raise them continually but it can be easy to raise both metal halide lights and high pressure sodium lights if all the necessary tools have been purchased before hand.
