NutrientsThe three main components that marijuana plants need to grow is (N) nitrogen, (P) phosphorus and (K) potassium which help with root growth, vegetation growth, and for flowering growth. The secondary foods that marijuana plants need to grow properly are calcium, sulfur, and magnesium. These elements help the plant with ensuring proper photosynthesis which can lead to a healthy growing plant with a strong development. The final elements that a marijuana plant needs during its growth are
copper, boron, zinc, molybdenum, and manganese. Although marijuana plants only use a little amount of these elements they are still essential to the overall growth of the plant. Fortunately, nutrients are already designed to cover all of these essential elements by providing them for both the vegetation and flowering stages. Nutrients for the vegetation stage are set up so that the plants can receive all of these elements during its growth but should only be administered with the water every other watering cycle. The same rule applies for nutrients during the flowering stage, if too many nutrients are fed at once to the plant than the plant can easily be overfed and experience a ‘nutrient burn’. A nutrient burn will be noticeable when the fan leaves on the marijuana plant have begun to change in color and are starting to decay. Once you have noticed this be sure to lighten the amount of nutrients that you are feeding to the plants and to use the nutrients sparingly throughout the grow cycle. |
